Aquascape Once-A-Year Pond Plant Fertilizer is available in capsules for established aquatic plants and granules for newly potted plants. Both provide nutrients throughout the growing season.
Applying fertilizer capsules
- Push the fertilizer capsules at least 4 in. (10 cm) deep into the planting soil, near the plant roots.
- Space multiple capsules around the plant.
- If the soil is compacted, use a blunt object or small piece of PVC pipe to make a hole before inserting the capsule.
- Cover the hole with soil.
Applying granular fertilizer
- Add a layer of planting soil to the bottom of the aquatic plant container.
- Sprinkle the recommended amount of granular fertilizer over the soil.
- Cover the fertilizer with another layer of soil.
- Position the plant and finish filling the container with planting soil.

The recommended amount of Once-A-Year Fertilizer depends on the diameter of the planting container.

Note: Apply the fertilizer within the planting soil rather than directly into the pond water.
