Stone: Quantity of rock and gravel for a stream
Quantity of Boulders Used in a Stream
- Formula:
- For every 10 feet (3.05 meters) of stream, allocate 1.5 tons (1.36 metric tons) of boulders.
- Use the same 1:2:1 ratio as for the pond (large boulders : medium boulders : small boulders).
Quantity of Gravel Used in a Stream
- Formula:
- Total tons of boulders in the stream × 30% = tons of gravel needed for the stream.
- Example: If the stream requires 10 tons (9.07 metric tons) of boulders:
- Gravel needed = 10 × 30% = 3 tons (2.72 metric tons).
