The amount of stone needed to build a waterfall using an Aquascape Waterfall Spillway depends on the height and design of the waterfall.
The following are approximate boulder quantities based on waterfall height:
- 12 in. (30 cm) high: 0.25 US tons (0.23 metric tons) of 12–18 in. (30–46 cm) boulders.
- 18 in. (46 cm) high: 0.5 US tons (0.45 metric tons) of 12–18 in. (30–46 cm) boulders.
- 24 in. (61 cm) high: 1 US ton (0.91 metric tons) of 18–24 in. (46–61 cm) boulders.
- 30 in. (76 cm) high: 1.5 US tons (1.36 metric tons) of 18–24 in. (46–61 cm) boulders.
Note: These are general estimates. Actual stone requirements will vary depending on the waterfall's width, layout, and stone selection. Additional smaller stones and gravel may be needed to complete the waterfall.
