Decorative Fountain Paint Touch-Up Process
Paint on a decorative fountain may fade or require touch-ups after prolonged exposure to weather. Use an outdoor/exterior latex-based paint suitable for the fountain’s surface.
Aquascape does not manufacture or sell touch-up paint. Consult a local paint professional for help selecting and color-matching an appropriate product. Paint performance and longevity may vary depending on the product, climate, fountain age, and exposure to the elements.
Touch-up instructions
- Wash the fountain thoroughly to remove sludge, hard-water buildup, dirt, and small debris.
- Allow the fountain to dry completely before painting.
- Apply the paint from side to side using a coarse, all-purpose paintbrush.
- Use a foam brush to apply paint inside recessed or difficult-to-reach areas.
- Allow the paint to dry for 3–4 hours.
- Inspect the fountain and touch up any areas that require additional coverage.
- Allow the final application to dry for 24 hours before operating the fountain.
