No, our Beneficial Bacteria Concentrate by itself is not a chlorine or chloramine treatment.
Beneficial Bacteria Concentrate is designed to establish beneficial bacteria and help break down fish waste, organic debris, sludge, and excess nutrients. It does not neutralize chlorine or chloramine.
For newly added tap water, we recommend using Maintain for Ponds or Pond Detoxifier. Maintain for Ponds includes a detoxifier that helps neutralize chlorine, chloramine, heavy metals, and other toxins.
