The Aquascape Pond Waterfall Filter (Item #77020) is designed for ponds and water features up to 1,000 US gal (3,785 L). It provides mechanical filtration, biological filtration, and water aeration while creating a waterfall.
The compact design is suitable for preformed ponds, container water gardens, and small decorative ponds. It can be installed alongside new or existing ponds.

The 500–5,000 GPH (1,893–18,927 LPH) range refers to the recommended water flow entering the filter, not the amount of water contained inside it. Actual flow depends on the selected pump, plumbing, and operating head height.
Filtration features
- Mechanical filtration: The included filter mat captures suspended debris as water passes through the filter.
- Biological filtration: The included media net holds optional biological filter media, providing surface area for beneficial bacteria.
- Swirl chamber: The lower chamber slows, levels, and directs water flow through the filter.
- Water aeration: Water flowing over the spillway helps increase contact between pond water and air.
- Waterfall spillway: The extended spillway and integrated drip edge help direct water into the pond and reduce unwanted water loss.

The biological filter media is installed inside the included media net, above the mechanical filter mat.
Plumbing compatibility
The Pond Waterfall Filter includes a stepped multi-hose fitting compatible with these nominal tubing sizes:
- 1 in.
- 1.25 in.
- 1.5 in.
Aquascape recommends using the largest practical tubing diameter to minimize flow restriction. The stepped fitting can be trimmed to accommodate the selected tubing size.
