The UltraKlean Pond Filter is designed to be backwashed approximately every 2 weeks (14 days) under normal operating conditions.
A built-in “CLEAN” indicator light will automatically illuminate to remind you when it’s time to perform maintenance. This light is controlled by a digital timer that tracks usage and helps ensure the filter is cleaned at the proper interval.
If you notice reduced water flow or heavy debris buildup, you may need to backwash more frequently.
