When repotting a waterlily, this is an excellent time to incorporate long-lasting nutrients into the soil to support the plant’s growth and flowering.
- Prepare the pot with Aquascape Pond Plant Potting Media. Add about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of media to the bottom of the pot.
- Add Once-a-Year Pond Plant Fertilizer granules (follow the recommendations on the fertilizer package for pot size and soil amount).
- Position the waterlily in the pot, ensuring the rhizome is properly placed across the pot. For a tropical waterlily, position the rhizome in the center of the pot.
- Cover the roots with more soil, ensuring the fertilizer is well-embedded in the soil.
- Top the soil with a layer of gravel or small stones to prevent the soil from washing away.
- Place the pot in the pond at the appropriate depth for the species of waterlily.
