No — the SLD series of Adjustable Flow Pumps, SLD 2000-5000, SLD 4000-7000 and SLD 5000–9000 pumps cannot operate without the Smart Control Receiver.
Here’s how it works:
- The SLD adjustable flow pumps are not direct-power pumps
- They rely on the Smart Control Receiver to:
- Convert incoming power to the pump
- Control and regulate flow rate
- Provide on/off functionality
- Without the receiver:
- The pump will not turn on
- There is no way to supply power directly to the motor
The Smart Control Receiver is specifically paired with these pumps - it is considered a required component, not an accessory
Bottom line:
- The pump + receiver function as a system
- Removing the receiver = non-operational pump
