If your Aquascape spitter has weak, uneven, or no water flow, debris may be blocking the spitter, tubing, or pump.
How to clear the clog
- Unplug the pump before performing any maintenance.
- Remove the tubing from the spitter.
- Check the spitter opening and water passage for leaves, algae, dirt, or other debris.
- Flush clean water through the spitter to remove the blockage.
- Inspect the tubing for debris, kinks, or restrictions and flush it with clean water if necessary.
- Reconnect the tubing and restart the pump.
If the spitter still has weak or no flow
Check the pump for debris. Aquascape recommends cleaning the pump intake screen and impeller when water flow becomes restricted.
Also make sure the tubing is not pinched or kinked between the pump and spitter.
If the pump is operating normally and water reaches the tubing but will not pass freely through the spitter, repeat the flushing process until the internal passage is clear.
