If an Aquascape AquaBasin® is losing water, first check for splashing, loose plumbing connections, or physical damage. Water loss does not always mean the AquaBasin itself is leaking.
Check for splashing
Make sure the fountain or decorative feature is level and that water is returning to the AquaBasin.
Excessive splashing outside the basin can cause the water level to drop.
Check the plumbing
Inspect the pump, tubing, and plumbing connections.
- Make sure connections are secure and watertight.
- Tighten loose connections as needed.
- Check for water escaping while the pump is running.
Inspect the AquaBasin
Check the AquaBasin for:
- Cracks
- Punctures
- Other visible physical damage
- Improperly drilled or modified areas
Areas marked “DO NOT DRILL” should not be drilled or modified.
If no source of water loss is found in the fountain or plumbing, inspect the AquaBasin carefully for physical damage.
