Aquascape Pond and Landscape LED Lights may not turn on due to a power interruption, loose connection, incorrect voltage, faulty photocell, or overloaded transformer.
Troubleshooting steps
- Check power: Verify the transformer is plugged into a working outlet and the GFCI or circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Test the transformer: Use a voltmeter to verify the lights are receiving the required 9–15 V from a compatible 12 V transformer.
- Inspect connections: Disconnect power, then check quick-connect fittings, splitters, and extension cables for loose connections, corrosion, or damage.
- Check the photocell or timer: Verify it is functioning correctly and its settings allow the lights to turn on.
- Check transformer capacity: Make sure the total lighting wattage does not exceed the transformer's rated capacity.
- Check for voltage drop: Long cable runs may reduce the voltage reaching the lights.
- Isolate the affected light: If other lights work, inspect the nonworking light's connection, cable, and splitter. If proper voltage reaches the fixture but it still does not illuminate, the light may be defective.
Important: Always disconnect power before inspecting electrical connections. Do not operate Aquascape Pond and Landscape LED Lights outside their 9–15 V operating range.
