Install the Compact Water Fill Valve (Item #88006) through the side wall of the Pondless Waterfall Vault. Position the mounting hole 1 in. (2.5 cm) above the desired water level, with the valve pointing downward.
Mount the valve
- Drill a 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) hole through the vault’s side wall at the mounting location.
- Remove the hex nut from the valve’s threaded end, leaving the rubber washer on the valve.
- From inside the vault, insert the threaded end through the hole. The rubber washer must remain against the inside wall.
- Install and tighten the hex nut on the outside to secure the valve. Make sure the valve points downward, not upward.
Connect the water supply
Choose the connection that matches your water supply:
- Garden hose: Thread the included adapter’s 1/2 in. end onto the valve. Insert both supplied rubber gaskets into the adapter’s 3/4 in. end, then attach the garden hose.
- Poly irrigation line: Attach the supplied 1/2 in. barbed fitting to the valve. Connect the 1/2 in. irrigation line and secure it with the supplied hose clamp. Connect the other end to an existing irrigation line or a water spigot using a suitable brass garden hose adapter, sold separately.
- PVC: Attach the supplied 1/2 in. slip fitting to the valve for the PVC connection.
Adjust the shutoff level
Loosen the thumb screw and wing nut on the float-arm axle to adjust the arm’s angle.
Make the final adjustment while the waterfall pump is running and the reservoir water is at the desired operating level. Check that the valve shuts off at that level.
