How do I replace the water treatment in my dosing system?

Replace the water treatment using the instructions for your dosing system below. Prime the system after installing a replacement treatment.

Original Automatic Dosing System

The original Automatic Dosing System accepts SL treatment bottles, which replace the discontinued treatment pouches.

1. Press the four blue tabs simultaneously while gently lifting the control panel from the canister.
2. Unscrew the tubing’s threaded cap from the empty pouch or bottle. Keep the clear inner tubing and its attached cap.
3. Remove the replacement treatment’s cap. For an SL bottle, remove the upper cap. Insert the clear inner tubing and secure it using the tubing’s attached threaded cap.
4. Place the connected treatment inside the canister and reinstall the control panel. Check that the tubing is connected and free of kinks.
5. Hold X2 for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes. Priming stops automatically after approximately 10 minutes. Press X2 again to stop priming sooner.

Dosing System SL

Use a treatment formulated for the Dosing System SL.

1. Open the enclosure lid.
2. Lift the intake assembly out of the empty treatment bottle and remove the bottle.
3. Remove the replacement bottle’s cap and insert the intake assembly into the bottle opening until sealed at the top.
4. Place the bottle inside the enclosure, check for kinked tubing, and close the lid.
5. Hold the setting button for 3 seconds until the blue light below the setting number flashes. Priming stops automatically when complete. You can also press the setting button when treatment begins flowing from the end of the discharge tubing.

Smart Pond Dosing System XT

Use a treatment formulated for the Smart Pond Dosing System XT.

1. Open the enclosure lid.
2. Lift the intake assembly out of the empty treatment bottle and remove the bottle.
3. Remove the replacement bottle’s cap, place the bottle inside the enclosure, and insert the intake assembly into the bottle opening until sealed at the top.
4. Check that the tubing and low-treatment alert cable remain connected and that the tubing is free of kinks. Close the lid.
5. Hold X2 for 3 seconds until the blue light above the button flashes. Priming stops automatically after approximately 3 minutes. You can also press X2 when treatment begins flowing from the end of the discharge tubing.
