- One 2 oz. (59 mL) bottle of LVOC Primer
- Scrubber pad
- Patch roller
- Disposable gloves
The kit is designed for repairing holes and small tears in EPDM pond liner.
How to repair a damaged pond liner
- Locate the damage. Identify the hole, puncture, or tear in the EPDM liner.
- Lower the water level. Expose the damaged area so the repair can be performed on a dry surface.
- Clean the liner. Remove dirt, algae, mud, and other debris. Allow the liner to dry completely before applying primer.
- Apply the primer. Using the included scrubber pad, apply the supplied LVOC Primer to the liner, extending beyond the area that will be covered by the patch.
- Allow the primer to flash off. Follow the primer instructions and verify that it is ready for patch application. The primer should not form strings when tested for readiness.
- Apply the patch. Remove the release backing and carefully position the QuickSeam patch over the damaged area.
- Roll the patch. Use the included patch roller to apply firm, even pressure across the patch, ensuring proper contact with the liner.
- Inspect the repair. Check that the patch is securely bonded and that the edges are firmly attached.
- Refill the pond. Follow the repair material's instructions before returning the repaired area to service. Refill the pond and monitor the water level for continued leakage.
Important repair considerations
- The liner must be completely dry and free of contaminants before applying the repair materials.
- Use repair products specifically designed for EPDM pond liner.
- Do not attempt to apply the QuickSeam patch underwater.
- Larger tears or extensive liner damage may require a different repair method or liner replacement.
- Follow the instructions supplied with the repair kit and primer.
If the damage is too large for the included patches, contact a qualified pond contractor to evaluate the repair. For additional product assistance, submit a request through the Aquascape Customer Care contact form.
