If your Aquascape Auto-Ignite Fire Feature will not light or shuts off shortly after ignition, check the ignition system, gas supply, and burner components.
Check the following:
- Power connection: Make sure the power cable is fully connected and undamaged.
- Igniter area: Remove dirt or debris around the igniter, thermocouple, and burner.
- Igniter position: Make sure the igniter is properly positioned near the burner and is not cracked or damaged.
- Thermocouple position: Make sure the thermocouple is approximately 0.2 in. (5 mm) from the burner tube and is positioned in the flame.
- Moisture: Allow wet ignition components to dry completely before operating.
- Batteries: Check that the batteries are installed correctly and replace weak or dead batteries.
- Gas supply: Verify the propane cylinder contains fuel or the natural-gas supply is available.
- Gas hose: Make sure the hose is not kinked, pinched, or restricted.
- Burner and venturi: Remove spider webs, insect nests, dirt, or debris that may restrict gas or airflow.
If It Lights but Then Shuts Off
The thermocouple may not be heating properly. Check its position and make sure the flame is reaching it.
Also check for:
- Low gas supply
- Restricted gas flow
- Blocked burner ports
- Loose ignition-system connections
If the fire feature continues to shut off or you suspect a gas leak or damaged gas component, stop using it and contact a qualified gas professional.
