If the supplied 10 ft (3 m) Auto-Ignite power cable cannot reach the planned control-box location, revise the layout before completing the patio or surrounding construction.
Taller fire features leave less hose and cable available between the feature and control box. The cable’s total length does not represent the available distance from the outside of the feature.
Can I extend or modify the cable?
Use the factory cable as instructed. The Auto-Ignite manual does not provide an approved procedure for extending, splicing, or hardwiring it. The manual states that alterations not specifically directed in its instructions void the manufacturer’s warranty.
Replacement Auto-Ignite Power Cable, Item #58098, is a 10 ft (3 m) replacement, not an extension.
Does natural-gas conversion provide more reach?
No. Both propane and natural-gas installations use the factory gas hose and electrical cable between the burner and the Auto-Ignite Flame Control System.
How should I plan the layout?
Connect and lay out all components before finalizing installation. Position the control box and fire feature so the supplied hose and cable reach their connections, while following the manual’s placement and safety requirements.
