Regular maintenance of your Aquascape Dosing System SL helps ensure consistent and accurate water treatment dosing. Follow these steps to keep your system working properly.
Regular maintenance
- Inspect the tubing: Whenever you replace a water treatment bottle, check the tubing for clogs, residue, or debris. Clean as needed using a soft pipe cleaner.
- Replace the pump cartridge: Replace the pump cartridge once per year to maintain dosing accuracy. The replacement pump cartridge is Item #40041.
Replacing water treatments
When installing a new treatment bottle, prime the Dosing System SL to ensure the treatment flows through the tubing.
- Install the new treatment bottle and intake assembly.
- Press and hold the control panel setting button for 3 seconds until the blue light begins flashing.
- Allow the treatment to move through the tubing. This may take a few minutes.
- Press the setting button when treatment begins dispensing from the end of the tubing, or allow priming mode to finish automatically.
Winter maintenance
The Dosing System SL is not designed to operate at temperatures below 40°F (4°C). An internal thermostat automatically shuts off the dosing pump below this temperature.
Before freezing temperatures occur:
- Disconnect power to the system.
- Remove the control panel, treatment bottle, and intake assembly.
- Store these components in a frost-free location.
Important: Operating the system below 40°F (4°C) will void the warranty.
