An uneven flame is usually caused by blocked burner ports or restricted gas flow.
Check the following:
- Burner ports: Turn the fire feature off and allow it to cool. Remove dirt, debris, spider webs, or insect material from the burner openings.
- Gas hose: Make sure the hose is not kinked, pinched, or restricted.
- Fuel supply: Verify the propane cylinder has sufficient fuel or that the natural-gas supply is available.
- Regulator connection: Make sure the regulator is properly connected.
Cleaning the Burner Ports
Carefully clear blocked burner openings with a small wire or straightened paperclip.
Do not enlarge or modify the burner ports.
If the flame remains uneven after cleaning and checking the gas supply, contact a qualified gas professional.
