Yes. In many cases, an existing pond can be enlarged without completely rebuilding it.
Expanding a pond typically involves removing rocks and gravel, excavating the new area, and installing additional underlayment and EPDM pond liner.
The new liner must be properly connected to the existing liner to prevent leaks. Depending on the age and condition of the existing liner, replacing the entire liner may be a better option.
You may also need to upgrade your pump, filtration, or plumbing to accommodate the increased pond size.
We recommend working with a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC) to evaluate your existing pond and determine the best way to expand it.
