Weak or no water flow from an Aquascape spitter is usually caused by a restriction in the pump, tubing, or spitter outlet.
Check the pump
- Make sure the pump is plugged in and operating.
- Verify that the pump is completely submerged.
- Inspect and clean the pump intake.
- Remove leaves, algae, or other debris blocking the pump.
- Make sure the pump's flow control is not turned down too far.
Check the tubing
Inspect the tubing for:
- Kinks
- Pinched areas
- Debris
- Disconnected fittings
- Loose connections
Straighten or clean the tubing as needed.
Check the spitter
Debris or mineral buildup can restrict the outlet of the spitter.
- Disconnect the tubing.
- Flush clean water through the spitter.
- Carefully remove debris from the outlet.
- Reconnect the tubing and test the water flow.
Do not enlarge or modify the spitter opening.
If the flow is still weak
Verify that the correct pump is being used for the spitter. A pump that is too small may not provide adequate water flow.
