If your Aquascape AquaSurge® or SLD Pond Pump is a non-adjustable model, you can reduce the water flow by installing a flow-control valve or ball valve on the discharge side of the pump.
How do I reduce the water flow?
- Install an appropriately sized flow-control valve or ball valve in the plumbing after the pump discharge.
- Turn on the pump.
- Slowly close the valve until the desired water flow is reached.
Important
- Only restrict flow on the discharge side of the pump.
- Do not restrict water entering the pump.
- Make sure the pump continues to receive an adequate supply of water.
- Do not completely close the discharge valve while the pump is operating.
- If the pump produces substantially more flow than needed, a smaller pump may be a better option.
