The pairing button location varies by Aquascape Smart Control device. Some devices have a dedicated pairing button, while others automatically enter Wi-Fi pairing mode when connected to power.
Smart Control Hub (#84074)
- Button location: Front of the hub, near the blue Wi-Fi indicator light.
- Reset: Hold the pairing button for 10 seconds until the blue light flashes rapidly.
Smart Control Plug (#82001)
- Button location: Front of the plug, near the Wi-Fi indicator.
- Reset: Hold the pairing button for 10 seconds until the indicator flashes rapidly.
Smart Pump Receiver (#45064 and #45065)
- Button location: No dedicated Wi-Fi pairing button.
- Reset: Turn the receiver off using the power button. Hold the + and – buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds until the display shows 8888.
- Note: The bottom reset button is for the circuit breaker, not Wi-Fi pairing.
Smart Pond Thermometer (#74012 and #74013)
- Button location: F/C button on the control unit.
- Reset: Hold the F/C button for 10 seconds.
Smart Pond Dosing System XT (#40040)
- Button location: Uses the + and – buttons on the control panel.
- Reset: Within 1 minute of connecting power, hold + and – simultaneously for 5 seconds until the display shows 88.
How do I connect my device?
- Connect the device to power.
- Confirm that the blue Wi-Fi indicator is flashing.
- Open the Aquascape Smart Control App.
- Select Add New Device and follow the instructions.
Important: Aquascape Smart Control devices require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection. A factory reset may be necessary if the device does not enter pairing mode.
