Start by checking power to your Smart Control Plug. Then follow the steps below for the problem you are experiencing.
The plug has no power
- Make sure the outlet is receiving power.
- Check that the ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protecting the outlet has not tripped.
The plug will not connect to the app
- Confirm that adequate 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage reaches the plug’s installed location.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi network name and password are entered correctly.
- Reset the Smart Control Plug to factory defaults: press and hold the pairing button for ten seconds, then release it when the indicator light begins flashing rapidly.
- Open the Aquascape Smart Control App and sign in.
- Open the menu in the upper-right corner, select Add New Device, and follow the prompts.
A blinking blue light indicates that the plug is in pairing mode and ready to connect.
The plug appears offline
- Check Wi-Fi coverage at the plug’s installed location.
- Unplug the Smart Control Plug, then reconnect it.
- Follow your router manufacturer’s instructions to reset the wireless router.
For the app’s Reconfigure procedure, see “Why does my Smart Control device show as offline in the app?”
