If your Smart Control device appears offline in the Aquascape Smart Control App, check its power and Wi-Fi coverage, then use Reconfigure in the app to reconnect it.
These checks apply to the Smart Control Hub, Smart Control Plug, Smart Pump Receiver, Smart Pond Thermometer, and Smart Pond Dosing System XT.
Check power and Wi-Fi coverage
- Confirm the device has power. Check its power supply and make sure the ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protecting the outlet has not tripped.
- Check Wi-Fi coverage at the device. These devices require adequate 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage where they are installed.
- For the Smart Control Hub: Make sure the included antenna is securely attached to the top of the hub.
Reconfigure the device in the app
- Open the Aquascape Smart Control App.
- Select the offline device.
- Tap the three dots or three lines in the upper-right corner.
- On the next screen, tap the three dots or three lines in the upper-right corner again.
- Select Reconfigure.
- Select Start and follow the prompts.
- When prompted to connect to the device’s Wi-Fi network, select the network displaying your device’s name. It may appear under Other Networks.
- Continue following the prompts to complete the connection.
If the device remains offline
- Smart Control Plug: Unplug the plug and reconnect it.
- Smart Control Hub, Smart Control Plug, and Smart Pump Receiver: The manuals also recommend resetting your wireless router when troubleshooting connection problems. Follow your router manufacturer’s instructions.
If the device remains offline or repeatedly disconnects, submit a request through the Aquascape Customer Care contact form. Include the device name and what happened when you tried to reconfigure it.
