If your pond is subject to freezing temperatures, the Aquascape UltraKlean Pond Filter should be shut down and stored indoors or in a frost-free location to prevent damage.
Winterizing your UltraKlean Pond Filter
- Disconnect the power. Unplug both the UltraKlean Pond Filter and the pond pump.
- Disconnect the tubing. Remove the threaded fittings by hand. Tools should not be necessary. Be careful not to lose the flat rubber washers.
- Remove the filter. If the filter canister is buried, remove it from the ground to prevent possible damage from freezing.
- Store in a frost-free location. Keep the UltraKlean Pond Filter indoors or in another location protected from freezing temperatures.
Important: Do not leave the UltraKlean Pond Filter outdoors where trapped water may freeze and damage the unit.
