The quartz sleeve surrounds the UV bulb and plays a critical role in allowing UV light to pass into the water.
Over time, mineral deposits and debris can build up on the sleeve, reducing effectiveness. To clean it:
- Use a mild acid such as white vinegar
- Or use a non-abrasive calcium, lime, or rust remover
- Clean with a soft cloth, sponge, or brush
Regular cleaning helps maintain maximum UV performance.
