Some reduction in water flow is normal when using an Aquascape UltraKlear UV Clarifier because it adds resistance to the plumbing system.
If the water flow is lower than expected, check the following:
- Internal swirl sleeve: Check for debris or buildup and clean if necessary.
- Pump: Check the pump intake or protective cage for debris. Clean the impeller if needed.
- Plumbing: Inspect tubing for kinks, clogs, or other restrictions.
- Tubing size: Use the largest recommended tubing diameter, up to 1½ in. (38 mm), to maximize water flow.
- Fittings: Make sure unused smaller sections of the multi-hose adapters have been removed to prevent restrictions.
Important: Always unplug both the pump and UltraKlear UV Clarifier before performing maintenance.
