Yes. Aquascape weighted aeration tubing is recommended when the airline will run through the pond, although it is not required for the Pro Air 20 or Pro Air 60 to operate.
Weighted tubing offers several advantages:
- Sinks naturally and stays on the pond bottom.
- Keeps tubing from floating to the surface or becoming visible.
- Eliminates the need to attach separate weights to the airline.
- Makes it easier to conceal the tubing between rocks and gravel.
- Helps keep the airline securely positioned between the aerator and air diffuser.
The Pro Air systems include standard braided airline that can be used successfully. Weighted tubing is primarily an installation and appearance upgrade that makes the airline easier to manage inside the pond.
Aquascape weighted aeration tubing is available in 3/8-inch (9.5 mm) diameter and is compatible with both the Pro Air 20 and Pro Air 60.
