If your original Automatic Dosing System with the X2 button is not dispensing treatment, check the power supply, treatment level, tubing, and priming.
Check the power and treatment level
Make sure the transformer is plugged into a GFCI-protected outlet and the treatment container is not empty.
If the system receives no power, the manual recommends trying a replacement transformer. The original Automatic Dosing System requires a 12 V AC outdoor-rated transformer.
Inspect the tubing
Check that the internal tubing and discharge tubing are securely connected and free of kinks. Inspect for trapped debris and clean the tubing if needed.
Prime the system
- Hold the X2 button for 3 seconds, until the LED indicator flashes.
- Allow the system to prime. The cycle stops automatically after approximately 10 minutes.
- Listen for the dosing pump turning during priming.
To stop priming early, press the X2 button once.
Check for cold temperatures
An internal thermostat stops the dosing pump below 40°F (4°C). Do not operate the system below this temperature. Remove it during freezing winter conditions and store it in a frost-free location.
If treatment still does not dispense
The pump cartridge may be worn and need replacement. The manual recommends replacing the cartridge annually.
