If higher settings are not improving results, the issue is usually related to system conditions, not the setting itself.
- Possible causes:
- Poor water flow across the probe
- Scale buildup limiting ion release
- Water chemistry outside proper range
- Algae type not highly responsive to copper
- Important:
- Some algae types are naturally less affected by ionization
- Improving overall system conditions will have a greater impact than increasing the setting
